Sylvia Plath – Homework, Night One

Shakespeare and the Literary Heritage GCSE Controlled Assessment

As part of our rather muscular approach to this year’s GCSE English Literature Controlled Assessment we are comparing and contrasting some of the poetry of Sylvia Plath with the character and voice of Katharina in Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew.

Tonight’s work, as is indicated on the attached board capture, is to make a first pass exploration of two of Plath’s poems from the selection you are working with – and to read the entire selection.
